This handmade D2 tool steel cleaver is a beast of a kitchen knife. With aggressive texturing and patina along the spine of the blade and into the cheek.
It is a full tang construction, 1/8" in thick with an overall length of 11.5", a 6" cutting edge, and a 5.5" walnut handle.
The cleaver comes with a walnut block for display and safe keeping.

I am sad to say that I didn't end up purchasing the item I had mocked up. However, what I can comment on is the fact that the customer service of the company was absolutely amazing! In the end, I couldn't convince the others in my unit to spare the expense, but the item itself was fantastic, and worth the cost.
