Findinn is an Old Norse word meaning "The Devil".
This handmade D2 tool steel cleaver is a beast of a kitchen knife. With aggressive texturing and patina along the spine of the blade and into the cheek.
It is a full tang construction, 1/8" in thick with an overall length of 11.5", a 6" cutting edge, and a 5.5" walnut handle.
The cleaver comes with a walnut block for display and safe keeping.

I asked Liam to make a custom flat head axe for my girlfriend who is a firefighter. I sent Liam a mock up of what I wanted and asked him to have his artistic input and he did not disappoint. If you are thinking about taking classes then just sign up. Liam has years of teaching and showing that will absolutely help you. If you started smithing but haven’t gotten into blades, take the classes.
I placed a custom order with BlackGuard Customs. I sent them a picture of the knife I wanted and the dimensions. They gave me a lead time and they were exactly on time. However upon final inspection they noticed a small fracture in the steel (I probably would have never noticed), and the owner, Liam, called me personally to let me know what had happened. He apologized, upgraded the steel, and expedited my order. I also shot the breeze with Liam and learned a little about him and the company. Great down to earth guy and he runs a great company. Blackguard Custom products are worth EVERY penny.
